Maverick is the Pilot of the F-14 as Goose's pilot. He is a dangerous man in the air and one of the best. He flies like hes going against a ghost and always trying to be the best of the best. After Goose dies he goes into a depression and had a hard time coming back. He wasnt married but was referenced for having a good time with an Admirals daughter. He did meet Charlie who was his instructor in Topgun and they were together for the most part of the movie.
