Goose is the R.I.O for Maverick. He was the Radar operator and Mavericks co-pilot. He was married with one kid and him and Maverick were like brothers who were really close. He dies eventually during a combat exercise when the plane got into Icemans jet wash and they went into a flatspin out to sea and when they ejected out of the plane Goose hit his head on the glass and died.
